i would like some apples, please. cameos, honeycrisp, or the crunchiest red deliciouses you can find. i regret to report that the cameos were not in top form this season, which was a major bummer. nor were the red Ds. the honeycrisps, however, have proven remarkable.

not to mention the new Devendra Banhart album? i love it.

i'm skirting the issue, i know. i'm slipping into it with a t-shirt on top and i intend to sleep on it.

saw A Serious Man, the new Coen Brothers movie. entire cast is virtually unknown (save an appearance by Adam Arkin), and it pays off. really stellar and recommended to anyone who is cool with stories about mundane existence where nothing ever happens until everything happens--though never unrealistically--and the unfortunate series of events suddenly start to become mundane because they have become the norm. not to say that the movie is boring--not at all. it's just a very nifty trick for breaking down what is simple versus serious-minded as best as any screenplay can. i liked it, anyway.

just for tonight i am trying to go to sleep without thinking ill of myself in the process. that's the best i can do for right now, but it is still not a given.

good shows this weekend, kids. i almost forgot to mention what a strong weekend it was.
